Dr. Gene can help people with digestive disorders like bloating, indigestion, gas, acid reflux, ulcers, IBS, constipation, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s with safe, natural and effective solutions.
The significant role the digestive system plays in overall health is often overlooked. Many other conditions can be traced back to digestive disorders.
The Center for Disease Control estimates annually, nearly 70 million people experience digestive diseases. That’s not counting poor digestion or dysbiosis. I can tell you from clinical experience almost everyone we see, for any health problem, has an associated digestive disorder. If someone does have a digestive malfunction, they also have or will have other health issues stemming from it.
And these problems are not limited to adults either. One of my patients worked as an anesthesiology assistant in a clinic dedicated to gastrointestinal disorders. He told me they had young women, ages 16 to 25, one after another, coming in to have their colons surgically removed.
Bloating or cramping after meals?
Something as simple as bloating or cramping after meals means that proper digestion is not occurring. If we don’t digest our foods we are left without adequate nutrition. Cells, tissues and organs that are not properly fed will inevitably fail, resulting in disease.
Insufficient acid production in the stomach
One very common issue people have is a lack of sufficient acid production in the stomach. And that’s especially true for most of the people with acid reflux symptoms. Improperly digested food sits in the stomach, putrefying and pushing acid up in to the esophagus where is doesn’t belong. Inefficient acid also affects the absorption of important minerals like calcium. Let’s not forget protein digestion. This also takes place via the action of the stomach acid. Finally, a properly acidic stomach environment acts as a barrier to pathogens entering the through the esophagus. Suffice to say, the little purple pill solves one problem (not really) while causing three others.
Upper GI system problems
Problems in the upper GI system lead to problems like constipation, loose stools or a combination of both in conditions like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I once had a client who only moved her bowels once a month. Beyond the infrequency, what really shocked me was she thought that was normal. Constipation leads to toxicity which leads to disease.

Lack of beneficial bacteria may cause Dysbiosis
Another, almost pandemic problem is dysbiosis. Dysbiosis describes an imbalance in the gut flora brought on by antibiotic use, an overabundance of processed carbohydrates and sugars in the diet and lack of dietary fiber among other things. Beneficial bacteria that help with our digestion and immune system are crowded out by other harmful microbes. This frequently results in gas and can be a precursor to gut and systemic inflammation, and autoimmune conditions.
This brings us to the inflammatory bowel conditions like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. These are devastating conditions on so many levels and can lead to life threatening situations. We find that toxicity plays a role in most of these very serious digestive conditions.
Attaining and maintaining optimal health is only possible if the gut is healthy. Our specialty at Monadnock Natural Health is rooting out the underlying causes of digestive disorders and other health disorders, and providing safe, natural and effective solutions.
